It’s February and for WWE that means that there’ll be a pay per view, but it won’t be an all that exciting one. For the most part the story lines have been put into place for the the road to Wrestlemania, so at this point Fastlane is just to weed out some of the loose ends that needed to be created to keep the live shows going. The biggest match of this pay per view is the triple threat match to see who goes onto face Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Wrestlemania. Dean Ambrose lost his Intercontinental Title on Monday, so all three competitors are going in clean with no belts and there won’t be any more dual wielding champions for the time being.
Let’s go ahead and break down the matches and I’ll give my predictions on who I think will win. Please note that the following matches are not in the exact order of the pay per view.
Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio : Let’s face it, this is a kick off match and most of these don’t matter. Let’s also look at the fact that there is a championship match as a kick off and not on the main card. It really doesn’t matter who wins, because these are being thrown together due to them not being in any kind of story. I saw Kalisto retains it.
AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho : I really think that AJ Styles needs to get out of this three way story with Jericho and Miz. I think Chris Jericho will win this due to an interference from the Miz.
Charlotte vs. Brie Bella : With rumors of Brie Bella possibly retiring soon, there is a good chance that they will have Charlotte win. I see Charlotte defending the title at Wrestlemania.
Ryback, Big Show and Kane vs. Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman : What a mess this will be, a bunch of big guys doing power moves and not moving really fast. There will be a lot of downtime and I think Big Show will get the pin and win for his team.
Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks vs. Naomi and Tamina : This is how it’s going to go. Becky and Sasha will win, Becky will face Sasha at the next pay per view and after Sasha wins she’ll face Charlotte at Wrestlemania.
Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler : I believe that Dolph has earned a win in this match. He’s been a huge part of Total Divas and been part of the live shows, so I believe he will win against Kevin Owens.
Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar : Roman told Stephanie on the most recent Monday Night RAW that he had never beat Brock Lesnar and then later that night Dean lost his intercontinental belt. Dean will win this match and make his way to Wrestlemania while Roman and Brock main event the next pay per view.
