WWE Elimination Chamber Predictions
Tomorrow we continue on our road to Wrestlemania with Elimination Chamber, which a RAW branded pay per view. The necessary players that are going to make a difference were put in their place at Royal Rumble, so any pay per view matches for titles that aren’t the Universal Championship, Heavyweight Championship, RAW Women’s Championship or Smackdown Championship are available to be won/lost. The four major titles are pretty much untouchable until their respective matches at Wrestlemania 34, and any matches with them are just to either further story lines or just well booked matches to entertain the crowds. The one major event at Elimination Chamber won’t even be a match, but a contract signing by Ronda Rousey, which will no doubt be interrupted by Asuka, and we may finally see a few moves by Ronda and maybe even a finisher. In any case let’s take a look at the matches and make some predictions
These matches are in the order I feel they should be in
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel: The Club used to be something fun to watch, a real driving force that not only could be funny but also demolish people in the ring. Sadly, I feel like they’re getting pushed down lower on the totem pole due to a lack of story line that they can be put into. They’re stuck in this place where they can only work together because they’ve built up The Club so much, so they if anything they’ll just have to ride these matches out until something else comes up. As far as Bo and Curtis, they are exactly where they should be because they’ll be back on TV the next night with The Miz. I’m going to give this one to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, but only so they can have more matches with The Club and they can still stay on TV.
Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks vs. Sonya Deville: It’s now become a trend that the kick off match for pay per views will set the bar for the matches that will be following it the rest of the night. This shouldn’t be any difference as not only will it start the pay per view, but it’s also the very first all women’s Elimination Chamber. As I mentioned above, they aren’t going to have championships change hands so this will be a way to move story lines as well as create new ones. Alexa will win this, but look for some altercation with Bayley and Sasha with a possible heel turn from Bayley.
“Woken” Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt: Matt Hardy has spent so much effort tying to keep his past characters persona that there will be no way he is going to lose this match. Bray Wyatt has gone from scary to just crazy and in the case of wrestling Matt Hardy that fits just fine. This is a non title match with nothing really to gain or lose, so look for an entertaining match with Matt Hardy coming out on top.
Asuka vs. Nia Jax: The only way this will have to end is if Nia Jax wins, because there will be so much backlash if it doesn’t. Asuka has a guaranteed match at Wrestlemania 34, but Nia has been fighting to be part of these amazing story lines for the Women’s Championship that she has to get this as a pay off. Asuka will continue her undefeated streak but it will be an odd pin where neither of them lose and Nia get’s added to Asuka’s Wrestlemania match. I really hope Nia wins, or at least get’s to have another chance the next night on RAW.
Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Apollo and Titus O’Neil: Welcome to the bathroom and snack break match. I don’t know what it is with Apollo and Titus O’Neil but they have great athletic talent but Apollo has no mic skills. He always looks way to happy to be threatening and even with the addition of Dana Brooke they still haven’t become anymore tolerable. I can say the same thing for Cesaro nd Sheamus as they put on great matches, but they just seem to be stuck on a rut that I would love for them to get out of. Just because I like Dana Brooke I’ll give this to Apollo and Titus O’Neil.
Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. Finn Bálor vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. The Miz: Let’s eliminate the person who has great potential but is too early to get the big push, Elias. He’ll make a good run and eliminate either Finn Balor or John Cena, but he won’t win the match. I’m a huge Roman Reigns fan, but Brock Lesnar only does 10-15 minute matches and the only person who has pushed him to his limit lately has been Braun Strowman. In fact, I’ll go out and say that Braun is a shoe in for favorite to win this match. He has been getting some great matches and great spots, and with the Brock heading back to the UFC the WWE needs a new monster. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will go on and soon welcome Dean Ambrose back to The Sheild while The Miz gets ready to be a daddy around Wrestlemania 34. Braun will win and to win he’ll pin Roman Reigns.
