Each week I try to bring you a game that has to do with something going on in the world, whether it be a holiday or a new movie coming out. This time I bring you a game that many of cousin spent time playing together when they came together before Thanksgiving dinner was served. Mike Tyson’s Punch Out was a must have for all Nintendo Entertainment System owners, especially if you had friends over regularly.
When I was young I was always able to get up to Bald Bull, but could never get any further. When playing it now with a different control, I realize that the D-Pad is the way to play and the thumbsticks are you’re enemy. Sadly I was able to only get to Great Tiger and lost. The only reason I lost was because I forgot when to hit him to get the star, and thumbsticks don’t work well when trying to get a rythem when blocking.
The game still brought back memories and it was still fun, and even though I made excuses I’m still proud on how far I actually got in the game. My only regret is not knocking down the first three fighters in the first round.
