If you’re one of the people who still go to watch the Transformers movies, don’t worry I’m also one of them, then I have some plot details that I’ve taken from a few sources. First and foremost let me clarify that I didn’t like the past Transformers movie, in fact I liked the first movie and tolerated the third but two and four can go somewhere else and die. I understand that this is a popular franchise, whom I grew up with, but the way these are being made doesn’t really make the stories become any more interesting. If you wondering why I still go see them, let me explain to you. When me and my fiancee went on our first date we saw Transformers and each year after that when the Transformers movies came out the release date seemed to be near our anniversary. Just by that coincidence, it turned into a tradition that we both go see every new Tranformers movie when it was released. Now that’s out of the way, I can go back to these plot details that I have received.
According to both Darkhorizons and Parentherald Transformers 5 will have two major plot lines. The first plot line revolves around Cade (Mark Wahlberg), Dinobots and Autobots as they set out to battle a new enemy threatening Earth. While that happens Optimus Prime heads to space to find the creators of his race who are known as the Quintessons. This is where Optimus will finally come in contact with Unicron.
If the plots don’t sound exciting and pretty run of the mill, then that’s because they are. In the last movie we were promise Dinobots and we received a few for about 15 minutes out of a movie that was over 2 hours long. I also don’t see anywhere that Hot Rod was mentioned, so this means we again won’t be seeing Rodimus Prime. The only semi interesting thing we may see is a hint of a possible Beast Wars type battle with the dinobots.
I laugh when I write this, because no matter how bad it is I’m going to take time out of my day to pay money to see it. I’ll sit and complain and make faces at my fiancee in the theater, then I’ll back home and write about how bad it was. This is the Transformer Ground Hogs day I have engulfed myself in because each time a new one comes out I’ll go and see it, complain about it and then write about it.
