Coming to all current generation consoles this holiday season, Sonic Forces looks to bring back what was first seen on the Sega Dreamcast and continued on the Nintendo Gamecube. If you’re confused on what Sonic Forces is, then you may have known it by it’s previous name Sonic 2017.

Along with the Twitter announcement, a new trailer was also released and it actually looks pretty great.
They also release the main theme of the upcoming game
Granted the gameplay was only 30 seconds long, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what else this game has. Sonic Forces will be coming to the Playstation 4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and everyone is going to want to see the comparison video. In past gaming history, games that were on current generation Nintendo systems haven’t been on par with the other systems. There shorter levels, less enemies and even cut scenes re-rendered to make them shorter and less graphically appealing.
Sonic has been around for decades and Nintendo has done a decent job keeping the look and feel on their consoles, minus that whole Shadow the Hedgehog with a gun fiasco. It’s safe to say that Doctor Eggman will behind this in some shape or form, but for now we’ll have to wait until E3 to see if any new information is shared.
