I tried to be excited about the Heroes coming back and the show being called Heroes Reborn, but the trailer that was released didn’t do much for me. I don’t know if it’s the characters from the past returning who left me with a bad taste in my mouth,or the dialogue just didn’t grab me.

When I hear the word reborn inserted into a title, I think of Final Fantasy IV: A Realm Reborn. It may not be a television show, but it was a game that was out for a few years that had a decent amount of issues and so it was given a second chance. The second chance it gave was all it needed to fix what it needed to and provide it audience a brand new experience even if it was from the same people.

With Heroes Reborn, I don’t see that polish that they should have slapped on it from the original series years ago. The trailer shows nothing new and for the most part, the same powers are represented but from different people. If powers were MalibyuStacy and the cast were accessories, then Malibu Stacy just received a new hat. I understand that the show isn’t out yet and I should give it a chance, but should I care about a show with such a lack luster trailer. In the three minutes of Adobe After Effects shots, I saw nothing that made me care about these people. In all honesty, most of the returning characters are coming back because they haven’t found work elsewhere.

I hope I’m wrong. I hope I watch the show when it comes out and I eat a big bowl of humble pie. Take a look at the trailer and let me know what you think.
