The more and more I look at what Super Mario Maker can do, I think more and more of Mario Paint. Before you get too confused, hear me out. When you were given a blank page and tiles of usable graphics along with a color marker, you could spend hours making a level that you could only look at. When Mario Paint came out, the Super Nintendo was booming with awesome games, and if you were imaginative you saw your favorite characters playing in the picture you drew. Now it seems like they have taken that imagination, that I’m sure other kids other than myself had, and made it a reality. Instead of clip art pictures and a marker, you get to use environment and enemies of Super Mario Bros games that you love playing  to make your own level. The game also allows you to use music from other Nintendo games and also use other characters from Nintendo.

Going by what I have seen in the trailer, I feel like the possibility of making a level where you can transform from Mario to Luigi to Link to Samus is now a possibility. The days of clicking a mouse to swat fly’s are long gone and now it’s time to build levels. With the concept of paid content and Amiibo‘s being things, what else can we have in our levels.
