I think it’s funny that Entertainment Tonight is showing sneak peek of the Guardians of the Galaxy animated show. I don’t think it’s funny in a bad way, but this shows that comic based media has broke through the a show that mostly older people watch. Even if you throw Mark McGrath in the there as a host, you still have a core age group that has watched the show since the early 80’s when it first debuted. I’m pretty sure that unless these people have kids or grandkids familiar with the Marvel Universe that are with them at the time this is shown, there will be a lot of confused viewers. On the other hand, if you’re like my mom who is in her 60’s and watches all the Marvel and DC shows, goes to the movies to watch them and calls me to discuss characters, then this is right in your wheelhouse.

This looks to take place right after Peter Quill was picked up by Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This also shows how Peter can understand everyone, no matter where he goes or who he talks to. This is also the first time you get to hear Yondu speak his native tongue, in the comics a different language is written in English but prefaced by letting the reader know its translated. The Gaurdians of the Galaxy movie is set to premiere on Saturday September 26.
