Playstation 4 Is Not The Only System Getting The New Crash Bandicoot Trilogy

Last week it was announced the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would be released on June 30th of this year. Since Crash Bandicoot was pretty much the mascot for the Sony Playstation during the great Nintendo and Sony war, it would be only logical that any future games that feature the veteran mascot would be on a Playstation console. Well, of course you know that anytime you think you have a pretty much sure thing, there is someone always there to prove you wrong. In this case, the person was the Playstation Ireland Twitter account responding making a clarification on what kind of release the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be.

So it seems that the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is just a timed exclusive, and will probably make it’s way to PC, Xbox One or maybe even the Nintendo Switch. We are still unsure of the how the Nintendo Switch will run as well as how the games will look outside of a produced video, so as of right now we have to still put it in the contender spot for new games to be launched on as well.  This isn’t the first time a mascot has jumped platforms, as Sonic the Hedgehog has made his way to both Nintendo and Sony games. Yes, I know this is because SEGA closed its doors on consoles, but they could have easily kept Sonic for themselves.

I’m not sure how remasted they are truly going to make these three games, but I feel like spreading out Crash Bandicoot is a good way to get a new audience and gage whether or not to move forward with creating new games and for what platforms. If they make this game a play anywhere title, then you could get the exposure of people like me playing it at home or at the office. We’ll get more information around the release of the game and if not, then at one of the press conferences at E3.
