Starting on January 14 and going until January 18 all Xbox One players can take part in the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 open beta. If you’ve only played the original Plants vs. Zombies and think this is just like that multiplayer, it’s not. This multiplayer is a mixture of a third person shooter with the cute garden plants we’ve all grown to love from Plants vs. Zombies. Sunflowers and hot chili’s take no prisoners as they assist you in destroying your enemy. On the other hand, if you would rather play as the zombies then nothing will stop you from destroying those delicious plants. Here are some of the features you will get to enjoy while playing the beta
- Enjoy the Backyard Battleground (we’re saving tons of great content and plenty of surprises for launch!), and play our King of the Hill-inspired mode, Flag of Power, where you can jump into the action right away and experience an immersive and escalating battle.
- You’ll also get to try out six new PvZ character classes, as well as a returning roster of your favorite characters from the original Garden Warfare.
- Jump into our 24 person multiplayer modes – the new Herbal Assault and Gardens & Graveyards
- You’ll be able to play across four distinct maps – Moon Base Z, Frosty Creek, Z-Tech Factory, and Seeds of Time.
No word on if you can transfer leveled up characters from the beta to the actual game when it comes out, so don’t be upset if you can’t. This is just a beta and put out to not only let people enjoy the game, but to fix any bugs and make sure it’s perfect when it’s released
