When I was young I did some pretty stupid things. I got went where I wasn’t suppose to, left without telling my mom where I was going and stayed out past curfew. Looking back, there are only a few really dumb things I did that have followed me through life and allowing myself to watch a movie at a young age was one of them. I remember I was at my grandparents house when at around the age of 10 when I saw the movie IT was coming on. I had heard it was a scary movie, but I figured I was at my grandparents day and it was midday so I watched it. I still get creeped out by the thought of that movie and it’s not even about the clown, I’m not afraid of clowns. It was something spooky about a murderer who follows your whole life.

I thought I was rid of that movie but according to Variety, it’s coming back. What once was a TV movie is now being brought to the big screen in two different movies and being directed by Cary Fukunaga, who also directed True Detective. From what’s been reported there is no change in the story, it’ll still be about Pennywise the clown who tormented a group of children. The children haven’t been cast yet, but Will Poulter is in negotiations to play the evil clown.

As of right now there isn’t a scheduled release date.
