Each Monday I like to take a look at a piece of media that stands out to me. This could be anything from an episode of a TV show or cartoon or just an album I think you should enjoy.

This week allow your ears to enjoy the sounds of Stabbing Westward

Artist: Stabbing Westward

Album: Darkest Days

Song Selection: Drugstore

I’m not going to lie this is a pretty dark album, and not in the scary way but in the emotional way. This is a total 180 from the first post I put up this month for our love theme, but it does strike a chord with me. I don’t want to surprise any of you, but I didn’t have the biggest group of friends and it seemed that everyone I dated ended up being horrible. What got me through these dark times were albums like this one, because for someone reason I felt at ease when I was as my lowest. I’m sure a psychiatrist could easily diagnose me with Emotional Detachment, but I haven’t seen one so I wouldn’t know. This album is probably the best soundtrack for a sad and depressed person, it removes the thoughts of hurting yourself with acceptance that whatever happened has happened to many people.
