While at Magic City Comic Con this weekend, during the Rick and Morty panel, Dan Harmon and Dino Stamatopoulos shed some light on when we’d be seeing the next season. When asked about the next season Harmon stated that it would be this year, but towards the end of the year. He also informed the audience that this season there would be 14 episodes, the most of any Rick and Morty season to date.

At the end of last season we saw Rick take the blame to save his family and get strapped to platform in a prison while Nine Inch Nails’ Hurt is played, it was truly one of the most depressing finales I’ve every seen. At the end we also saw the return of Mr. Poopy Butthole, so let’s see what role he plays in the next season.
