I watch a lot of superhero shows, because hey I like comics and the current run of shows are doings right for the most part. They have consistently kept their stories interesting and even when the stories lulled, they have pulled them out and given a pretty strong reason for said lull. The show that stands above all when it comes to mysteries is CW’s The Flash.
In the first season it was all about Wells being the Reverse Flash and getting things sorted out with where he came from and how he was to get back. This season the multiverse was introduced and Earth 2 characters are dropping by like those unwanted relatives who’s calls we all accidentally miss. We know that there are doppelgangers of pretty much everyone in Earth 1, which is how we’re going to see Caitlin Snow as Killer Frost, but we haven’t seen the Earth 2 versions of any other person. We know Dr. Well’s isn’t Zoom, because that would be a horrible twist, but we do know that good comic story telling dictates that this must be someone that’s going to really affect Barry.
In the beginning of the season Barry’s dad was let out of prison then made the choice to leave to live his life elsewhere. This really effected Barry, but that relationship was quickly dismissed and a villain appeared. I call this misdirection, where the writers show him and then introduce something that takes your mind off of him right away. If you haven’t already figured out, I think that Zoom is Earth 2’s version of Henry Allen. He had a heartfelt goodbye at the beginning and the biggest heartbreak would be if Barry had to defeat his own father. The Earth 1 Henry Allen left, so that clears up any loose ends if someone were to recognize him walking around and not thing there were two of the same person. Each Doppelganger has first killed their Earth 1 version and then moved onto The Flash. I think the reason why Zoom hasn’t revealed himself is not only because of dramatic effect, but because he hasn’t killed Earth 1’s Henry Allen yet.
I understand if this seems far fetched, but just look at the eyes of both Zoom and Henry Allen. To me, they look pretty similar.
