I admit I drank the kool-aid and I watched Heroes: Reborn, and I’ll also go on record and say that I didn’t think it was that bad. A few of the main characters from when the show first aired came back, but some of the good guys have gone bad. The first few episodes were a little slow but it has actually started to pick up and I am actually excited to see what the next episode has offer. I would say that this season was not as good as the first season of the original show, but it was definitely better than the second season.

Unfortunately NBC never had plans to keep the show going past one season. During a recent NBC panel at the Winter Television Critics Association, the chairman Bob Greenplat gave the following information

That was always the plan, unless Tim woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’ But I think we’re coming to the end of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.

So what I got from that statement is no matter how the series did, they were just going to give it a one and done. Well, the season isn’t completely over so the next few episodes will have to either start killing off characters or cut corners to end story lines and show how the world is saved by the twins.
