We are just starting 2016 and the future is already here and getting ready to take your pre-orders. If you haven’t had any hands on an Oculus Rift developers kit or messed with one at a convention, then I suggest you find a place that is offering tests before you purchase one. When we went to Virtual Reality Los Angeles we tried a couple of different VR headsets, and even though the technology blew us away the motion sickness headaches were there.
I don’t want to dissuade you from purchasing one, there explicit instructions on how not to over do it. We also were hopping from booth to booth for hours, so all that VR may also have been part of my headaches. If you do want to purchase one, then on January 6th at 8am Pacific Time head here and put your order in.
Don’t think that you’ll only be getting a headset with no software when you pre-order the Oculus, because you’ll be getting two pieces of software for free. Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie are both being bundled with the pre-order and each satisfy a gaming need. Lucky’s Tale is like a less offensive Conquer and EVE: Valkyrie has space battles right out of your favorite science fiction movie.
