Ever since Cliff Bleszinski left Epic Games, all the fans that fell in love with Gears of War and Bulletstorm wondered what would be his next project. There were a lot of rumors of what the next big Cliff Bleszinski thing would be and then last year he revealed Boss Key Productions, his new studio. He also revealed that the first game his new studio would be making was a free to play first person shooter. Things settled down and bit by bit he would show artwork and yesterday he revealed the first official trailer to his much anticipated game Lawbreakers.

The story seems to follow the usual post apocalyptic story, but this time it’s a little different. In the future there were some government testing happening on the moon which caused it to blow up and the Earth was greatly affected. A huge earthquake, called The Shattering, destroyed much of the Earth. The living humans on Earth started to rebuild and left what had happened after the moon blew up in the past. Everything went back to normal, which meant crime also returned. Due to moon blowing up all of Earths gravity was messed up and everyone was given somewhat super human strength. After cartels united to form huge gangs called breakers, the law took to the streets to clean it up.

There you have it, the game is cops vs bad guys. The trailer is only for information so no game play has been shown, although there’s going to be game play trailer released this coming Friday morning. I’ve already signed up for an account, so whenever it gets released I’ll capture some footage and give my thoughts.
