Summer may be months away, but that won’t stop companies from letting you know what you’ll have to to look forward to play once it comes. The market is saturated with first person shooters and 3rd person shooters, and even though the role playing genre is represented, the classic side scrolling RPG’s don’t always get a mention. For me, I love turn based or even real time role playing games with play time hours reaching into the 80’s. There are a few that have come out, but I’m always looking for the next best thing and I believe I’ve found that in Fallen Legion.

Developers YummyYummyTummy and Mintsphere are bringing Fallen Legion to both the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita this summer in both the Americas and Europe.

Fallen Legion is a Japanese role playing game that allows players to guide Princess Cecille and three Exemplars on a quest to redeem the kingdom of Fenumia. For ages, Fenumia has ruled the continent and For ages, Fenumia has ruled the continent and now the crown is now in your hands. Among the departed king’s artifacts is a sentient book with timeless knowledge and the power to breathe life into weapons. Guided by the enigmatic grimoire, the unwavering Princess Cecille journeys on a personal quest to restore her kingdom’s glory, but as she explores beyond her castle’s border— nothing is as it seems. Some features to look for in the game are

  • A Legion Under Your Command – Control four characters simultaneously and master devastating combo attacks in furious real-time battle.
  • Ascend to the Throne – While clashing with rebel armies, you must make split second decisions on how to rule your kingdom. Will you side with the mercenary Prime Legion, palatine Council of Princes or cabalistic March Congress?
  • Magnificent 2D artwork – From the fangs on the game’s menacing manticore to each brick in Fenumia’s castle, all of the artwork has been hand-drawn to create a stunning world
