Gamestop, to me, has become the last resort when it comes to buying games, and never the answer when it comes to selling games. With the ease of Amazon and buying digital games through the console, the brick and mortar game stores are in low demand. This past June Gamestop was given some new life when it was revealed that Xbox One would be backwards compatible and be able to play Xbox 360 discs. This is great for Gamestop, because most of their money is made on selling used low price games. With reports of Gamestops shutting down across the states, they needed a way to get people back to their store and spend some money. Yesterday Gamestop released a tweet that would no doubt get more traffic to their store.

With all the superhero hype and buzz for the upcoming Deadpool movie, this tweet was nothing but a great marketing move.

I’m all for Deadpool, because he is my favorite Marvel character, but this is a little cryptic. At first when you see this you think that High Moon Studios has created a new Deadpool game for my enjoyment, but this is just the same game that came out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The graphics have been remastered and if you never got to play this game then this is the perfect.

When looking at the description it looks the same, but the only thing different is the bonus content.

Bonus Content: I’m giving you even more ME! I’m including the DLC (2 sweet levels & 2 alternate suits!) from the old platforms. Consider it my gift to you, my #1 fan!

As I mentioned above, if you never got to play this then I highly suggest it. The game is violent and fun and a good appetizer to the main course that is the Deadpool movie coming out next year.
