When the Nintendo Switch had it’s big announcement event there were a few games shown in a clip package. It was later announced later, and covered by us here, that Capcom would bring Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers to the Nintendo Switch. One of the big selling points for this game coming to the Nintendo Switch was the option of playing it in first person mode.
When I heard first person mode I had no idea how that would take place. You can jump and try to do combos or specials, because there’s a good chance your audience would throw up from motion sickness or have a seizure. Yesterday on the Japanese Capcom channel, a few games were streamed and one was Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers on the Nintendo Switch.
I’m not sure if first person view is available for every player, but the people were playing as Ryu. Sadly there wasn’t an actual match going on, but random NPC’s that you could attack performing a Shakunetsu Hadoken, Shoryuken or a Hurricane Kick in a time attack mode. What looked to be fun after a few times quickly faded away and then I just wanted them to go back and play the 2D Street Fighter.
