Reboots are good when the original came out in a time where it couldn’t be properly represented. A lot of reboots are just there to grab a younger audience and sell merchandise, like most movies. I believe that there are some movies that should never be rebooted, because of nostalgia. I don’t believe Hook should ever be rebooted, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Clerks, Kill Bill and Waynes World are some other movies that should be left untouched. Not to keep with the Robin Williams movie theme, but it was announced that Jumanji is getting a reboot and it will be out next Christmas. Robin Williams past away a year ago and now they are taking one of his most famous movies and rebooting it? I feel that this is a slap in the face for all of us who grew up enjoying this movie and showing it to our children. There was nothing wrong with the story, the actors or the special effect so why do this? Did they feel that since the passing of Robin Williams there would be no negativity to another one made? If they made a sequel I would be ok, because at least the original would stay the only one out there. Now when someone looks at Jumanji they’ll have the same reaction as when they look up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The original was perfect and didn’t need to be remade or rebooted.

Along with the Jumaji reboot they announced the following movies and release dates

Money Monster – 4/8/16

The Shallows – 6/24/16
