The time is upon us, another pay per view that is getting more hype than normal. Previous Night of Champions pay per views have all been highly predictable and, to me, not been one of their big ones. I don’t know if someone in the writing team lit a fire under the groups butts, but this Night of Champions seems to be ramped up with a lot of misdirection and possible huge belt turnovers. There are rumors of both heel and face turns, but who will be the ones turning. Let’s take a look at the matches and see what I predict.

This list comes from Wikipedia and is in no particular order

Neville and The Lucha Dragons  vs. The Cosmic Wasteland (Stardust and The Ascension): This is the only for sure guaranteed spot, because this is the pre-show match. I really wish they found a good story line with Neville, he’s so talented and get’s put in these garbage matches. The same could be said for Stardust, who is immensely talented but his character has pigeonholed him into crappy matches. Now he’s part of The Cosmic Wasteland, which will have Stardust stick to underwhelming matches. Out of the two actual tag teams in this match, I really like The Lucha Dragons and would like to see them go far. I’m going to go with Neville and The Lucha Dragons for the win.

Seth Rollins  vs. John Cena: I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the first match, seeing how Seth Rollins has to wrestle twice during this pay per view. This seems almost like a lock for John Cena to win, as the story lines for Seth Rollins would be better with him to leave Night of Champions with no belts. John Cena seems like a person who would cry to Vince if he didn’t have a belt in his hand and with money he pulls in I think he gets pretty much what he wants. I see Cena winning the United States Belt back.

Ryback vs. Kevin Owens: This is a match thrown together because all champions have to defend their titles. Kevin Owens is great and really entertaining to watch, but I don’t see him beating Ryback. Ryback will win.

Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and ? vs. The Wyatt Family: The big question is who the third person will be in regards to the team of Dean and Roman. I was thinking of wrestlers who haven’t been back in a while or who aren’t on this pay per view and I’ve come up with two possibilites. The third partner will either be Randy Orton or Kane. If there’s going to be a face turn it’ll be Kane, plus he’s known as the big red machine and who else to put him up against than the monster that is Braun Strowman. I see Dean, Roman and their third person winning this match.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev:  This match was suppose to have Lana in it as well, because Summer Rae will be there, but since Lana hurt herself she probably won’t make an appearance. Although, they a pretty good at teaching wrestlers to protect themsevles, so Lana could make an appearance to slap Summer Rae around. With all this back and forth between these two couples, there really isn’t a way to tell who’s a face and who’s a heel. I know this isn’t a popular choice, but I kinda want Rusev to win and dump Summer Rae. I think without a valet he would be part of better story lines.

The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz: The Dudley Boyz have been getting a huge push, but The New Day has been winning over a lot of the crowd so this is a tough one to call. You have to look at story and who would benefit more from having the belts. The Dudley Boyz have a DVD coming out in the near future, so a tag team win wouldn’t be a bad thing for them. I see The Dudley Boyz going over and winning the titles.

Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte: This match has a potential for heel turn, but I’ll get to that in a second. Charlotte has been getting the same push that The Dudley Boyz have been getting, so there would be no surprise if Charlotte won this match. Nikie has already surpassed A.J. Brooks as the longest running Divas champion, so it wouldn’t be a bad thing for her to lose. The heel turn would be in the form of Paige, who has been trying to get the Divas championship back and would be pissed if Charlotte won. This is where it gets tough, because it could go either way. Paige could cause Nikki to win or lose, but I’m going to go with Charlotte winning and her feuding with Paige.

Seth Rollins vs. Sting: I’m going to swing for the fences on this one and make a wild prediction. I already mentioned that it would be great to see Seth walk out with no belts and that’s whats going to happen. The match will be a tie until the end when something happens and Sting pins Seth to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. As Sting is celebrating Sheamus comes out and cashes in. Seth tries to interfere and ends up taking out Sheamus and Sting pins him for the win.
